Golden Liger Zero XEM Phoenix

This is me being artsy. @.@ Feathers fly... *tosses my box full of real peacock and cockatiel feathers all over you* >w<
The theme I was working with was to showcase that fact of it being part phoenix/fire bird, thus the (liberal! ) dusting of downy/vibrant/patterned/huge peacock feathers and then the body and 'tail spread's cockatiel feathers.
I'm quite proud of it, so snicker at my artistic exuberance all you want. ^-^

The only thing I don't like about this is that out of the whole afternoon of messing with it and snapping pictures from every minute angle, I settles with this since it was the one that came out the best despite the fact that the tail got hidden.


Technical stuff for Zoid nerds, et cetera~:
'Tis my Liger Zero X with the Fire Phoenix armor and some red EM parts~ (X is the blue armor that comes with the golden Liger body, and red EM armor in the box is a freebie!)

Pretty much a customized Liger Phoenix.
Golden Liger Zero (X or EM) body rather than the standard Liger Zero it gets put on. My reason is not just superficial, but historical, since gold is a definite phoenix/firebird plumage color, as it is infallibly be named in any myth. All parts of Fire Phoenix were used, aside from the Phoenix neck.
No X-specific parts except for the tail-topper were used, just EM. The EM bits are the two red pieces under the neck and the chest gun that's...facing down , the side-'wing' flaring things on its sides(for added flight stability), the back-mounting boosters I actually just threw on its butt (covering the on/off lever xP), and the two lower back-leg armor pieces.

I like that tail-topper better than the Phoenix's neck part, or the EM's standard Liger tailgun. Its two gold fins are actually adjustable, so I'd like to think that the Phoenix Liger's systems automatically adjust them in flight for much better stability because of that and its more streamlined shape. *Big bro fixed freaking C-17s in the Air Force, and my dad can take a car completely apart and throw it back together...though my being raised with that, something as simple as aerodynamics isn't actually that hard to think about... -.-' Blarg. I'm rambling.*

I'd like to note that I was sooooo tempted to go with my nature and throw on the X's energy blades, or the Blade Liger's laser blades, but decided against it since it would take a super-ubertastic pilot to maneuver that thing and use the blades while not hitting the Phoenix's stiff and not very maneuverable wings on the target. Oh, and the fact that the energy blades dynamo/power parts and other related things weren't used so they would be powered very well if used. And then there's the added weight issue to the extra parts too. The Liger's a heavy cat(Very much like the real thing, which doesn't stop growing due to a genetic quirk. o.o)--I'm not quite sure the Phoenix half likes the extra armor stuff and whatnot already, since it's all (unwanted) added weight in flight, which is a bad thing on many levels. (Ever seen the movie Pearl Harbor? Yeah.)
